U2 At The Forum: 5 Thoughts On The Band's Final Show

The noise and the buzz is over, at least for now.

U2 ended his extended stay in Los Angeles on Wednesday night with a sold-out show at the Forum in Inglewood fifth in the sand before his Innocence and Experience tour heads east, the band Denver and beyond.

Wednesday's concert was really the last of six in Los Angeles, including U2's visit last week to the comparatively tiny Roxy. But I been exposed to the adoration of his fans he never satisfied Bono's appetite for more, of course. So on Wednesday the frontman walked on stage with lights in the houses of the Forum still on, to see better peak encourage Angelenos 17,000 and arrival again.

"The most beautiful sound in the world," he said. "It's you!"

Here are five thoughts of the series.

1. The band appears committed to changing things

When I met U2 last month in San Jose, Edge talked about the potentially harmful effect of routine, how to maintain a sand highly produced show the same every night can prevent the type of the liveliness of the band is trying to convey. So even though the concert was opened Wednesday, as every date on the tour is with "The Miracle (Joey Ramone)," U2 went on to play tunes I do not listen in San Jose, as "out of control", with bright, ringing guitar The Edge, "Volcano" and "The Troubles", which was the Swedish singer Lykke Li duet with Bono on a video screen.

2. Other changes were presumably unplanned
Before "Every Breaking Wave", the piano Edge did not work, leading Bono improvise for a few minutes while the crew of the band tried a solution. First, he wondered if James Corden, the singer said it was in the Forum, could entertain the audience. Then he spoke with a woman holding a sign that read "Lesbians 4 Bonus" and assured that "Bono is for lesbians." Another woman offered a bouquet frontman, prompting a few words about one of his favorite artists, Morrissey, who is known for throwing gladioli for their performances. Finally, Bono saw an Elvis impersonator in the crowd and invited him on stage for a bit of "Cannot Help Falling in Love".

"People come to see U2 because something unexpected will happen," said Larry Mullen Jr. in San Jose, and perhaps this is what he meant.

3. "Songs of Innocence" got a little redemption in a live setting
"Every Breaking Wave", when he finally touched the Edge, looked lovely Wednesday in an arrangement for piano-ballad stripped. But it was only one of several songs on "Songs of Innocence" polarizers U2 album that seems to be coming to life on the road, along with the furious "Raised by Wolves" and "Iris (Hold Me Close)," tender ode Bono his mother, who died when he was 14. Abandoned unannounced accounts estimated half million iTunes users last year, these melodies made little impact (positive). Here, however, they carried out alongside the classics of the band.

4. In fact, the new material was more to life than some of those oldies
At the Forum, "Sunday Bloody Sunday" and a handful of songs from "Achtung Baby" - in particular, a lascivious "Mysterious Ways" - pulsing with electricity. However, "With or Without You" and "Where the Streets Have No Name" I was mandatory rather like a pair of older aunts Bono is prohibited from leaving the house without visiting. Even "Pride (in the Name of Love)", which raised the hair on my arms in San Jose, type heavily next Wednesday, proof that the border was not fishing for a compliment when he said that what is sometimes seen in a show of U2's "four people trying to make something happen that is not happening."

5. This probably is not the last we'll see of Innocence and Experience tour
Although the dates have been announced only until mid-November, Bono said the band is "considering returning" in 2016. "There must be some very good reasons to leave his family," he said. "The songs are at the top of the list, and then displayed. If they are too big, and you really feel it is something special, then it is worth all the trouble."

The Tree From U2's 'Joshua Tree' Album Artwork Has Been Vandalised

It seems that U2 fans will go to any length to a memory; the tree that appears in the work Inlay iconic 1987 album 'The Joshua Tree' has been vandalized.

A tree limb has been hacked off, as the website Consequence of Sound reports after seeing an ad in a U2 fan forum.

"Last Sunday, I made my annual trek to the proverbial tree with my dog to remember the past only to find that some contrivance and I do mean trick, decided it was a brilliant idea to have a saw for a tree limb - obviously to remove an inch thick cross section as a souvenir. You’re kidding? "

Forbes recently released the most expensive tours coming in 2015. Fleetwood Mac took the No. 1 spot, continue to draw fans to places throughout the country for its "Tour with the show 'for an average $ 307 per ticket. Next 'Innocence & Experience' tour of U2 also made its way into the Top 15 list tickets averaging out at $ 256. "Free at last, they took your life / I could not take your pride," Bono sings, as the most memorable phrase of the song. Later, he holds the microphone up crowd, encouraging people to sing: "Sing for Jimi Hendrix ... by John Lennon ... by the Rev. Martin Luther King!" Bono urged the crowd.

Steve Smith: Madonna, AC/DC And U2 Rumored To Play At Grammys And More Music News

LAS VEGAS, NV - MAY 19: Madonna poses in the press room during the 2013 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Photo by Jason Merritt

AC / DC, Madonna and U2 are rumored to perform at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards on February 8 at the 20,000-seat Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles. The awards will be broadcast tonight on CBS.

If true, AC / DC, who were recently appointed to head Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival this year in Indio, in April, is expected to show some of its new "Rock or Bust" first studio album Australian quartet in six years (Major League Baseball uses "Play Ball" album as the official song for the past playoffs and World Series).

According to reports, Madonna is planning a tour this year marks the 30th anniversary of her Like a Virgin tour to "pull out all the stops," according to a near 56-year-old fountain, the singer cited by Hits Daily Double. She probably perform one of the new songs that launched iTunes just before Christmas.

If U2 appears, marking the first live performance of the Irish supergroup with vocalist Bono from his bike riding accident in Central Park New York City on November 16 Bono suffered numerous broken bones, including a sheet shoulder, elbow, pinky and several bones around one eye. The other three members of the band played a short set at a benefit concert in New York last month with Bruce Springsteen and Chris Martin of Coldplay, replacing the injured vocalist.

There is speculation that U2 would have a song from his latest album, the "Songs of Innocence" controversial automatically downloaded 500 million customers of iTunes from Apple and was nominated for Best Rock Album even thought it was not officially in stores until after September 30th Grammy deadline.

There's nothing like having an act to conduct a well-known guest during a concert, and recently in the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, Raiders Paul Revere made twice.

During a presentation on January 3, The Raiders were joined by bassist popular since their senior years away, Phil "Fang" Volk, according to messages on page singer Darren Dowler Facebook (Dowler was the singer band for the past 11 years).

Volk was upgraded to a teen idol at the time along with then singer Mark Lindsay and several other members of the band through their co-hosts dance and music late teenage ABC's "Where's the action "and his constant appearance on the big teen magazines of the time, especially 16 and Tiger beat. He played in those big rock hits like "Just like Me", "Hungry," "Kicks" and "good".

The gray-haired 69-year-old Volk, dressed in black and shades dresses, rocked out in front of the stage, sharing the lead vocals with Dowler in "flashbacks" to a standing ovation.

On January 4, the Raiders joined Bill Medley of The Righteous Brothers. The 74-year-old Dowler Medley and joined in singing the Brothers # 1 1964 classic, "You've Lost That Lovin 'Feeling" back to an incredible fan reception.

"Where is My Love", a song recorded in 1987 by Linda Ronstadt and outlaw country singer Joe Ely, but lost more than a quarter century, has been found, digitized and released on iTunes.

The countrified ballad written by RC Banks was recorded in Los Angeles with a group of studio musicians including legendary drummer Jim Keltner, whose prominent skin hitting record powers. Although the song was never released, Ely often performed in concert over the years.

In a statement accompanying the release, the 67-year-old Ely said he and 68 years old, recently spoke Ronstadt and agreed to release the song.

Fleetwood Mac singer and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham said the current tour of his side's next studio album "conclude this last act."

But do not panic. Buckingham, 65, said on public TV "show" Tavis Smiley "that all this could still take another couple of years.

He says that the return of singer-keyboardist Christine McVie after a 15-year retirement revitalized the group and together the five members of his glory days. (The Mac has sold over 100 million albums, most of them from those years.) McVie has also caught the group with their new songs.

"She gave me a lot of things (new tunes) to take home. I worked on it, I came back and loved it. We went into the studio and came out with the best song in years ..." he said.

The band drummer Mick Fleetwood, 67, and bassist John McVie, 69, of John Mayall's Bluesbreakers (whose members at that time was originally formed in London in 1967 the original Mac guitarist Peter is also included Green, Cream future members Eric Clapton and Jack Bruce and future Rolling Stones guitarist Mick Taylor). Christine McVie, 71, joined in 1970 around the time she married John McVie, while Buckingham and his then girlfriend Stevie Nicks, 66, joined the band on the eve of New Year 1974.

The band is working on the next album, but with Christine McVie back on board, Fleetwood Mac is once again one of the hottest draws in music concerts, ease of selling out arenas 15.000 to 22.000 seats.

Peter Asher, half of the duo Peter and Gordon British invasion was the only musician in the honor roll of the annual New Year's Queen Elizabeth, reports BBC News. Although alum contained the first version, more optimistic Taylor "Carolina in My Mind", the album did not sell well, reaching number 62 in the US Regardless, Asher had so much faith in him that he resigned from Apple and moved to Los Angeles where he was responsible for Taylor. Inked for Warner Bros., Taylor became a superstar from early 1970 with the album, "Sweet Baby James", "thin Mudslide" and "One Man Dog", each of which went Top 5 - all produced by Asher.

From 1973, he began producing a series of crushing multi-platinum albums Linda Ronstadt, including "Heart Like a Wheel" 1974 1977 "Simple Dreams" and exuberant LP cover standards 1983, "News" and its 1987 double-platinum collection of traditional Mexican mariachi songs, "songs from my father." He was an important contributor to what is called the "California Sound" production not only Ronstadt, but professional sound JD Souther SoCal, Andrew Gold and Bonnie Raitt.

After a gap of 37 years, Peter and Gordon met from 2006 for about a dozen concerts full-set before Waller's death in 2009 at age 64 last year, Asher joined a tour that celebrates the 50th anniversary of the British Invasion that also featured Chad and Jeremy, Billy J.
